Applications
Alfa Aesar Lithium nitride is used in metallurgy and chemical synthesis. It is also used to store hydrogen and acts as a source of the nitride ion. It is involved in the preparation of lithium hydride and lithium amide as well as a reducing agent.
Notes
Moisture sensitive. Store in a cool place. Keep the container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. Incompatible with oxidizing agents, acids, water, copper, carbon tetrachloride and silicon tetrafluoride.
